So funny!

We have so much to do and so little time! I LOVE IT. I like it when Im forced to clean out that closet ive been neglecting or vacuuming places that I normally wouldn't or washing windows {for them to get smeared up again} lol what is it any way about wanting to lick a perfectly clean window.... beats me... but maybe i'll get the urge.. you just never know with me! So we are cleaning this and moving that in preparation for friends and thanksgiving and a Christmas party! Lots of functions at the Determan homestead this time of year. Thank the good Lord for a great big house to have all the people I could ever want over. Elizabeth is now 1 and wow is she so CUTE! She is walking all over the place and her little Lady personality is adorable. The other children are busy doing school and playing in the last warm days of fall. I love this time of year my electric bill has been cut in half and now were planing on what to buy for Christmas. Fun times. Singing Christmas music and just playing together. I realize that all the work I have now is for but a season that I will miss like crazy some day. Seeing my children and being all together is so wonderful. As they grow and move on to other places or "in the back yard" thats what they tell me now...lol I will never grow tired of seeing there faces... I refuse to be sorry that I have "all those children" ! It is amazing to me that people apologize to me for having them... Im sorry they don't. I love my kids... They are what keeps me going and keep it worth it. Oh and a huge prayer answered..... I have no pain.... no sciatica ,..... no ligament pain.... THIS IS THE WHOLE REASON FOR SURGERY.... So im so glad... Im exercising and TRYING to loose weight... very slowly.... HOLIDAYS...ahhh I still have hormone crazy ness...... {just ask John} but I hope I can figure that out with some natural stuff.. So for now no surgery in the future who knows... but Im thankful for today... besides as the kids get older it will be easier for me to be down for a couple of weeks if that ever happens.... John Michael is POTTY TRAINED... so only one in diapers and this is so cool. That has not happened to us in a VERY long time.. and no im not pregnant..... Yet any way..lol So have a great November and God Bless YOU!

A wonderful Saturday in the Fall!

Well as I woke this morning and we got daddy off to work , I wondered what to do with our day. We always have laundry and dishes and sweeping and cleaning to do so I thought why not let that sit for the morning and play with my kids. I rarely take the time to just go and be with them. I do sit and read or color a picture and of course we do school every day but they wanted mom in there element! so ... me and my hair brained ideas we built a fort. Fort Dixon to be exact! With boards , sheets , screws and huge nails and hammers and a drill thingy we got er done! ... Money could not buy what we made...lol (no one would pay for it) but the memories made were priceless. I have 5 girls but im not the "tea party" kind of mom (though im learning) im a fort building, in the dirt and woods kinda mom(my boys really like this) lol... Love being out side! My children are one of the most important things in life to me. I want to do the things they like so that they like helping me! and IT REALLY WORKS THAT WAY. You be a buddy to your children and help them make a fort...or have tea and play dolls.. They will clean to the moon and back because there helping there friend , Mom! I love it. So here are pictures... Yes i look absolutely hilarious but you know what... They didn't care one bit! have a great day and go play with your kids!

Well we are doing fantastic! We have had 3 birthdays this month and also took a trip to the hunting ranch, we have been having so much fun! Today would have been my surgery and I would now be in recovery but I AM NOT. Im still very ok with this decision. Meanwhile Im doing school with the children and just keeping up with house work. Today is grocery day and well im on a task to feed 10 people for one week and well here are some fun Determan facts. So that adds up to

22 hours or cooking or preparing

24 loads of dishes

And wouldn't you know I love it! sometimes its a little crazy and wild around here and the house is not always clean and the dishes are not always done but..... I wouldn't have it any other way. .... Except a maid .... lol what I would do to that poor lady!

Surgery Postponed

Im so grateful for a God that will give us that unrest and feeling of dread if we are not doing according to His will... And this is exactly what I have felt for the last couple of days. I have prayed and sobbed that God would help me with an answer. I felt like i was making a wrong decision. I feel that I need to exhaust every effort in loosing weight and seeing a good chiropractor before i do something so drastic. My Dr. is very good and I am so grateful to him !
I do have an enlarged uterus, but that poses not life or death situations. Many people have this there whole life and never know it. But they only treatment is hysterectomy or learn to live with it. I have had a CA 125 test done and there dose not appear to be any cancer. With that said. There is NO guarantee that they take my uterus and my Sciatica goes away. Well I would be so mad if I went through all of this with no relief. So for now we wait and see if I can find relief through prayer and weight loss and getting back in shape.

So my Goal

1, Seek God With every part of myself to do His will for my family and take care of my self.

2, LOOSE WEIGHT!

3, be on my face with prayer for strength and for healing!

Thanks again for being here for my family. We feel truly blessed! Know that we are really doing what we feel lead of God to do! This world is not my home! and Praise The Lord Heaven is for Eternity! I hope that you all reading this Know that. Because if your Home is not Heaven then It is Hell. CHOOSE this day whom you will serve!

Back in the Swing of things.

Well we didn't get anything hunting but my husband had a cold and was sneezing and coughing and well its hard to be quiet in a tree stand doing that..lol But he had fun. and we had so much fun. Its always nice to get away and do something different. I seem to do the same thing though where ever I go...ha ha... oh well it was still fun. My surgery is Oct 20th, at 10am. I really am not prepared for this but figure it will all work out in the wash! I was hoping to have the home completely organized and clean but ...well I had good intentions any way... But there is still time and we will do what we can. I have an organize deficiency!!!!! But my husband on the other hand is a person that needs things orderly......lol so thats why he just leaves my stuff alone.... it would make him crazy! so since he will be holding down the fort I need to bless him and get it all done. It is not that bad but pots and pans need to be put up orderly and not thrown in and shut the door before it all falls out... and same with the plastic ware....lol Hey i thought that is why they had doors.... to keep it from falling out? Well i guess not .. but im learning... When I grow up I will be more orderly im sure. :D Its been great having friends and family praying for us and offering to help! And as i type Elizabeth is walking across the living room..... .JUST WHAT DADDY NEEDED BEFORE I AM BED RIDEN....LOL Always a new challenge and another reason to pray..... Isn't that the truth ... 2 things I never run out of.... laundry and things to pray about! Hope everyone has a blessed month . and I will update after the surgery!

My Sweet Emma

A new birthday dress from a sweet friend!

So super excited to be 7!!!

Emma turned 7 today and she is a huge blessing to our family!!! We couldn't function with out her! We started the day with cinnamon rolls and then church and then came home to a birthday party and LOTS AND LOTS of presents. We also took a family photo... thanks dad!


God blessed me the day he gave me Emma. She really is a Happy ending to a story that could have turned out not so good!!! Thanks Lord for my baby girl!
