A beautiful Snowy Day

"I just do not like the snow"......"Can I take my boots off"...of course I replied "no way".

Emma took my picture :0) lol

I have not left the house since Sunday.... My van would be upside down in the ditch collecting snow if I tried....
Right before the fall...... This was the good shot.

Ty and Emma did well... and had fun

Joseph was not so sure... But he stayed with us.

Ty fell eventually... But laughed and laughed

We had the best time playing in the snow. Here are some random pictures. have a great day .. Go play with your kids in the snow... and If you do not have kids.... Go play out side any way...

Blessings from the Determans

This is not as bad as it seems...lol I was showing him the snow out the window and when trying to get him down he was gripping on to the window and put up a good fight to get down... so I thought I would take his picture...lol Before long im sure this will not be staged....

We also got to see some friends of ours and I just want to say...."Thank you " we had such a great time. Joseph fell asleep on the tractor while John was tilling up the garden area again.... This is how we train our children to sleep any where.... even on a tractor. lol I am so blessed to have my children... They bring me such joy.... and always make me laugh... Thank you God for my wonderful children and Husband.

Happenings and Doings....

Well this week is going well.... NO ONE IS SICK>....... PTL So im not sure if we should stay home or start venturing out...lol I really enjoy sleeping all night...

So In December I started my weight loss journey and it is going slow but well.. Im loosing weight and am so excited to be getting it off... Man it is so much easier to put it on then take it off.. Im not doing any fad diet because I know that those do not work for long...lol So I am doing something that I know is a sure in.... Eat less... No sugar... No Bread unless it is my 100% whole wheat and then only 1x a day. I do feel better and the excercise is great.... I dance and jump around with the kids to veggie tales.... You won't be seeing any pictures of that.....lol I will spare you. This is a picture of me when I was 17.... Man were those the days.... So this is my goal. I can not be 17 again but I can loose weight and be healthy.... And maybe wear a bathing suit again :)

fI figure John and I are my childrens only example of Self Control... So if I can not impliment it then how will I expect them to do it.... With my childrens history of drug and Achoal abuse "birth and adopted" and other things , this will be a tool vital to there survival .... I know that God concours all and this will be there bigest tool but, untill they make this decision they go by example... I want to be able to encourage them and help them... I know that there enviroment is diffrent then most children but they are not spared satans grips as would any other child... It can and dose happen to parents all the time. But God says "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it" God dose not lie .... If we as parents train up our children ..... They will not depart from it.... IT IS OUR JOB..... IT IS ON OUR SHOULDERS IF OUR CHILDREN FALL AWAY.... They have your example and you that they seen as they grew up. So Mama what is your priorty? Daddy do you have your kids heart? What steals your Joy and Time from your Husband and Children? books, TV, Computer,Phone,work,shopping....the list goes on. God's word dose not change...Our roles as mothers is to be the keeper of the home... look it up. ... So Im glad that I can run to God and that he show's me my faults so that I can quickly correct my actions. It is a daily process of humbling and having Joy any way.... and alway's be consistant........ No means No....not well she/he is sleepy ....or stong willed. BLAHHH BLAHH I have used them all...:).they are excuse for a childs bad behavior..... If they are behaving badly it is a reflection of your attitude at home and giving in to your childs lust and whines.... I know... I have one I battle with daily because I did not train while she was young and now I am paying for the non rasing I did. I say all of this to encourage and NOT TO DISCOURAGE>>>> Our world today needs Godly parents who are willing to go the extra mile and do it right.... You only get one chance.... How are you going to use your life for you childs? Hope this makes some one think and change your actions.
A man plans his way but God directs his steps... Let God be your guide not the world or things... Have a great day....
John Letting Ty work with him.

Wednesday

Wow what a wonderful warm day. The girls and I did a homeschool field trip and went walking in the back woods to take pictures of animal tracks , "because every decent farm girl needs to know whats crawling around in her back yard", and we were shocked at what we found..... "MOUNTAIN LION" tracks...... I screamed... I had always hoped to see a track in person but maybe not so close to home... im my back yard. The girls and boys thought it was "smokin cool" as Nikki told me. Emma wanted to know if they were out during the day. Thats my girl...lol Cautious and careful.
Well John Michael is getting so big and hes been walking for a while now I can't believe I didn't post about it but I guess If you have seen it once you have see it seven times...lol He loves to talk and can jabber a mean "mama" and papa.... to everything. he just walks around saying it. We are teaching him sign language Nikki and I and he can do "all done" and "more" and we are working on please... this one always takes longer....Its the strong will thing.. So here are a bunch of pictures ... Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Monday....

Well we have still been cleaning out stuff and getting rid of stuff... So far I have gotten rid of 6 trash bags full of clothes and 4 bags of shoes..... My husband will be so happy. I can live among junk as long as I can't see it.... like shoved in a closet or a drawer. But I do feel better when it is cleaned out.

The kids got to play out side allot this weekend im so glad... and Just a few runny noses so i think the end is near for all the sickness... I pray...

The girls have been earning money and wanted me to take them to get "sunglasses"? A wired choice I thought but who am I to suggest how they should spend there money...lol Im just the mom. So here they are modeling there choice of glasses.... Emma has a better fashion since then Nikki as you can see. THEY KEEP ME LAUGHING... Have a great week

Life after the holidays...

Real Bow Hunters...

"Im not sure what they are being"

My Boys... They are so cute.

Not allot going on here just the normal doing school and re organizing for the new year ahead. Nikki is reading now and so the adventure begins and the world is opening up to her as she is sounding out everything she sees.... it so neat that I got to be the one to teach her to read... and That I'm with her as she reads her first words and that we learn together and that Emma is learning her abc's and there sounds ... Im always there for them and Im so blessed to have the opportunity.. So many mothers miss out on their kids childhood with working and other things... Well Im so honored to be here at home with my children.... It just makes a happy home when you are living in God's plan for a family life. Its not easy by any means.... fiscally or financially but worth its weight in Gold in the end... That is what your kids will remember.... Mom and Daddy doing what it took for them... Not the bike or the clothes or new shoes or latest toy.... It's the "time" you spent with them. Thank you God for this opportunity...

Have a great week.
