JUNE

Well from birthdays to playn in the sprinkler to working in the yard and just plain ol summer fun we have been busy. Nikki turned 8 and Ty turned 6. My children are growing so fast. We took the house off the market and our wheels are turning again with new plans and things to do. We hope to add more chickens to the Farm and maybe a Pig. We got to get a late garden in after all so we are so excited about this late summer bounty. God is so amazing at the things He teaches us all the time about what really is a prioity in life and what ain't. Like material things mostly... What really matters and the memories made are right here at home and playing with my children. And How they have loved getting to see the grandparents all the time. and that there Daddy is home most all the time. Our Van has been broke most of the month and we are glad to know what it needs and John will be fixing it soon.. The calendar is already booked for July and August is getting things on there to already... Well see ya'll round and if your not busy stop buy and see us and have some Ice tea!

Wow Its May.

Elizabeth Rose at 6mo she will be 7 mo on the 14th

Our newest additions on the Farm!

Well we are still trying to sell the house in hopes to move and we have people looking to buy ours but still waiting on them.. the kids are growing so fast and I get more teeth in a month then some parents get in a year seems like...lol We are having a blast still with daddy being home and getting to work with him and just be a family. We eat 3 meals a day together and pray , laugh and sing through out the day... life could be no better then this unless we were in heaven! being rich is totally over rated and being poor is so much simpler ..lol you only have so much, so nothing else can get in the way of family and fellowship... So we rejoice in the season of life with John at home and hope that the Lord continues to bless us so that we will always live this way. Nikki and Emma are schooling every day now and wow do they learn fast. It is so great to see them learning and enjoying it also (except for the number 2) Emma says its to hard to write! lol Hope to have more exciting news next month like were moving or something.... ;o) !

He Arose... Praise the Lord....

pile up!

Well we have a great couple of days with family for the Easter holiday. My mother blessed my children with baskets and candy and toys and then Aunt tami also had treats for the children and then Grandma Janice had bubbles and the list goes on... So how blessed are we as a family. So whats going on with us.... Well a whole lot of maybes and hopes and dreams. We have settled on a offer with the property and now are trying to sell our home. We have started tomatoes in the house and are butchering chickens on Monday. We also are maybe going to plant some corn and mostly just work our tails off building a shed for all the stuff "junk" from the shop so that we can make the property look nice for selling and im working like a mad woman inside to make it look like we do not live here. Praise the Lord that with God all things are possible like selling the house!.lol

the kids and I have loved the weather out side lately.... Nice and warm... which equals kids out side and not to messy inside. Enjoy the pictures.

A New Adventure

This is one of the ponds

This is the home we would live in while ours was being built.

Well we put a bid on the property we like and are hoping they accept and then comes the whirl wind... putting out home on the market hoping it sales fast and then paying for the new property and moving , building a shop for John first thing, Living in a 1200 sq feet home for 2yrs or so while we save the rest of our money for the new home , we should have a bout half when we move and then be REALLY MOTIVATED to save the rest. I love adventure and the thought of moving to the big woods.... so we will have "The little house in the big woods" yes we are little house on the parire fans.. but the thought of our own cows and a horse for the kids "nikki" and chickens and a big fat hog just is awesome for me.....4 ponds for all fishing we would want to do and enough deer and turkey to keep us fed..... Who could ask for more.. So we are praying that the Lord would bless our vision and that we could be moving in april or may. The Lord has been so faithful to us in our home adventures. Our home we live in now has been such a blessing and if it dose not all work out we are perfectly happy here also but we just need more land to farm and hunt they way we like. So pray for adventure. :)

Happy Birthday John Michael

Mommys helper, Cleaning up his own mess after eating.

Ahh My guys are so handsome!

Looking at the Cake Nikki made him..

Getting ready to blow..

Wow what a ride... This kid is so wonderful and wild all in the same package. You know as a mother of eight you would think I have kids pretty much figured out but well God planed something very special for me with this child...lol INSANITY . I will say though he is a big helper to daddy and me, He loves to clean up the messes he makes and help do dishes. I am always so surprised what a kid can accomplish in a matter of minutes. So I will list all the things I can remember for this year that he has done...im sure i will for get a few... We had a great Birthday and we will see what the next year of his life brings me.

Crazy things that John has done

  1. play in the toilet
  2. put a whole role of toilet paper in the toilet and then get it out and bring it to me. "yuk"
  3. bring me a present from the toilet ...... "so gross
  4. open a bottle of shampoo and pour it out every where and smear it in his hair
  5. turn the water on in the tub and put the plug in and flood the entire up stairs , it leaked down stairs through the ceiling...
  6. Put tooth brushes in toilet. "I hide mine now"
  7. smear Vaseline all over him self
  8. smear peanut butter all over him self
  9. smear butter all over him self "he has done this lots of times"
  10. smear a marsh mellow all over him self
  11. m&m up his nose
  12. clothes pins on his ears and cry cause he couldn't get them off..hee haa
  13. steals bananas when ever he gets the chance to find them and tomatoes "must be bosco's kid"
  14. always a thrill to pull sisters hair
15. take diaper off and pee on heater..."not on purpose but I guess the heater was warm" lol could have been bad , death by pee shock ?

16. get in dog kennel and eat the dog food... "no lunch for you buddy"

So im sure there are more but this is a pretty good run down. We just love him to death and are glad the Lord has blessed us with him.

And yes he dose get disciplined and should have buns of steel when he grows up.. If he makes it that is.

All things NEW

What happens when Mom is around!

The best daddy ever!

Ok so I look cool.

Wow It has been the longest between post since I started this blog 2 years ago. I have been super busy with my husband who is now home and I just do not find the time to be on here blogging. I do Love Face book . I seem to connect faster and easier to my friends but I think blogs are really cool also. A little more in depth. Well what has happen over the last month... The Lathams came back for another visit and that was so cool, it is awesome having friends like them! Elizabeth is now playing and smiling and cooing at us. We are so in love with her. She is sweeet! Our business is doing well and John and I are just as happy as 2 toad's on a log to be together all day! We do not get as much done when daddy is home "playing" with us but We are having to find a New normal to life. We are getting in our new cirriculmn this week and that is exciting I always like doing something new. My motto " why stay the same when you can change it" and my sweet husband says " why change it if you can leave it the same" lol We are opposites for sure. We balance each other out. We were just saying in the van on a trip to town how God uses me to get him out of his box and God uses John to try to shove me in one.. Life is grand! The kids are just growing up before our eyes and we are loving our new sleep schedual! We are not up until almost 8 and that is SO COOL.... for years I was up at 5:30 or 6am and i have finally arrived. Now I know I should be more disciplined.... "blah blah"... Not for now im going to enjoy this new found freedom.. time for being up early later!.. Another possible adventure is a new house and property. 88.23 acers to be exact and a tiny little house to live in while we build our dream home.. this place has four ponds and loaded with deer... All the fishin' and huntin we can stand.... sounds pretty perfect to me!. So pray for us. We want so much to continue to show our children how to be self sufficent and God sufficent! Teaching them how to live off the Land and a place to have fun and all that good stuff. This is a desire of the heart so We just pray that the Lord would bless it. Of course we want to do it debit free so It would be the Lord for it all to work out just right! I am also getting a new wood floor in this week .. I cant wait to see how it turns out. Next is the bathroom. So we can hopefuly get this home sold to buy the other one! If every thing works out we will be in a new home by march... whew... that make me tired thinking about it. lol Have a great February. Hugs and Kisses. {>

Play-Do fun

Jinger and Beth

We made Rosie some braids!

My Quilt!

Well all is normal around here. John is working so much , We thank the Lord for his provision and blessing of my husband coming home, And last week we were so blessed to have my best friends the Lathams stay the weekend.. Awesome fun and the kids had a blast.. I just love being with them. My kiddos have a cold and John Michael has it the worst. He had 105 fever last night and wow , that scared me. But we are managing to keep it down and he is eating and playing some. I will be glad for spring we never seem to get sick in the spring and summer or fall... But winter hits and bam... Were out till spring it seems like. I am really thankful for my husband , who even when he is working he trys to take some of the children with him so that he can help me out. So as I write this I only have four children and I kept the boys and Elizabeth and sent those Rowdy girls with there daddy.. lol I have always joked that my boys were ballerinas and the girls were line backers.... but John reassures me this will not be true for long. I am learning to "stay" at home. I love to go and especially shopping but with all the children and lack of money , "laughing" I am finding that I really do have a million things to do here and I love to read and I have been sewing a quilt and I just love it. I'm almost done with it . I am self taught no formal training so any imperfections just add to the uniqueness of my work.."lol" One of a kind. I am also learning that I can never keep the house clean un less my kids are sleeping. and The laundry will never be "caught up" unless you consider only two loads to do caught up... there are always at least two every day. and I always seem to need milk. There is no real home for socks in my house so if your ever here you will hear the term "sock basket" there's no use just leave them there and find matches as you go. So my life is really full of doings and you know I just wouldn't want it any other way... The children far out way the work... And some day "though It just seems to good to be true" Im told my house will be quite and it will just be John and I... "WHATEVER" lol Who knows maybe..
