We're gone

We left around 3:30 and said good bye to our sweet home , to make an adventure come true! Just us Okies and the hills of TN! Lord willin' and the creek don't rise we will be there the 2nd of Sept.  Our scary event today, the camper really swerved when a semi truck came close, John almost lost control and my amazing husband got it under control , but seeing my family go side to side on the highway and almost roll over was just too much for this mama's heart! We are adjusting some weight issues and adding sway bars.  We all had to check our shorts after that one! The rest of the trip to Eufala went great, I gave thanks to The Lord for my family and resolved life is so short! Camper life is going great, everyone is bedded down for the night and I'm writing to you all, pray for safe travel on the first! We come back to the city for closing on Friday then back to the lake and head out on to Tn.  Hope is doing better and we are thankful for that!

We have been blessed by visitors and with helpers ! We are loading the camper and have all the sheds, shop and garage empty! Whew it's been crazy! Crazy fun really.  

PACKING THE TRAILER!!!!

As life goes it has its ups and downs, this week has been no different. I spent Monday at the Hospital with Hope, She has Mono. Poor thing , her right side of her neck is all swollen and she has been running fever.

She is getting lots of rest and we are just plugging away.  No one else in our home is

sick so we keep working. The entire house is loaded on the trailer , shed and garage.  

We have the the shop 90% loaded.  Just John and I. We are a great team!

He laughs that I want pics of us! We are having fun , really our adventure has

  begun and wow are we tired already! lol the Drive to TN will be a break.

Now that the trailer is loaded we have to put the rest of our things in the camper 

and load our truck and trailer that I am pulling. Im going to be a trucker! Add that to 

the list of things that I have done in my life. :)

The blessings of Friends and Family

This weekend we spent going to parties with some beloved friends and family to say our goodbyes. It was bitter sweet and the kids had so much fun! We will look forward to seeing our friends and family next spring coming to visit the "Holler"  .  We will be having a get together with Johns family before we go next weekend and I will post pics of this as well.  We are so blessed to have such great family and friends.

 This week is CRUNCH TIME , we have to get the trailer loaded this week and we will be moving out on the 25th. Camper life is just around the corner and major changes for me as a mom!! I have some goals that I hope to accomplish! With God all things are possible!

~More Prayer Time with the Lord and memorizing scripture!

 ~Joyfulness in all things ((I will get lots of practice on this one)) Not letting my surroundings dictate my emotions . ((not yelling)) for some reason i think it helps them to obey and listen and no .. im just yelling. Bad habit!

  ~Self Control with my health.  Eat to nourish not to excess!! Just because it taste good is not an excuse to over indulge!  My health and vitality is so important to my family.

~ Keep a schedule and be diligent with school!

~ JOYFUL, JOYFUL,JOYFUL

God grows me more and more every year. Some struggles I seem to have always and some I learn and hear from God and overcome.  I cant wait to see how God finishes out this year for us.  We will do some learning im sure. The ultimate goal for our family is always LOVING AND SERVING GOD WITH ALL WE HAVE!

Winds of change

We are spending this next week RE focusing on whats important. FAMILY.  We have been so busy its easy to get slack and lose our joy.  We are working hard on being joyful and working together, doing things right! We will be starting school soon and we have been enjoying starting our character qualities workbook.  Its so sweet to see how you can relate an animal to good character. My kids really love them.  So we are doing this during our family bible time in the evening.  Its so sweet to gather together and learn Gods word.  We have memorized Psalm 100.  Joyfulness , We will chose Joy, not anger!  We wanted to encourage our children to serve one another so we drew names and they got a partner.  That person will serve the other person all week.  Drinks at dinner or help them with there chores , maybe help find there shoes or JOY!  They are so sweet and excited to start tomorrow. We will see how long the fun last.  This weeks praise is my sweet Emma and Hope.  For no reason at all "Besides being wonderful" they have, after every meal cleaned the kitchen and washed the dishes. Because its fun to work together and serve mom.. WOW... im in awe of God and his mercy to this busy mama , who has not done kitchen work in a week! Im so grateful for my girls.  Have a great week and I encourage you to learn scripture with your children.  Hiding Gods word in there heart will help them make the right choices later in life.

Packing and Birthdays

We are busy packing and storing stuff for our move, Its really tough to decide what to keep out and what to put away, I feel as if I need everything, and some days I want to go tribal and have nothing but dirt floors and a rice pot! Our sweet baby will be 1 tomorrow, our last birthday in Oklahoma. While we are so excited about our adventure , but are missing our family already.  My sweet family is struggling these days , My uncle past away today and it was a total shock to all of us. His sweet wife died last year of Cancer and so this was just a shock.  But I will say he couldn't wait to be with his bride of his youth again and so now he is with her. I have seen very few couples these days stick it out and stay together . THEY DID~  Make a choice in your marriage . Its not only affects you, its a legacy!

Our dear friends the Lester family will be with us tomorrow and I will be sure to post pictures of

Were going to TN!

What a ride the Lord has us on.  We are so super excited that we get to move to Tn, We will miss our family and friends of Oklahoma so very much. We feel this is where the Lord would have us. So we go until God says no!  And he has blasted the doors wide open for us.  All our needs met and the house is sold.  We will be in the Tn the first week of September.  We will be posting pictures of progress on our property and all that goes with it.  What an adventure it will be. I will show you life in the camper with 12 of us and everything from meals to putting on the addition to the home.  I hope you follow us on our adventure!
