Changes for the Determan family

Well to start we have been so busy traviling again. Thats what we do. Seems like everywhere we go takes an hour or longer. But we are so blessed to have friends and family that we enjoy the ride! The children are settling in to school and Nikki is doing fabulous and Ty and Emma are learning the ropes! The other children are busy playing and just enjoying this big yard that the Lord has blessed us with. John's work is steady and of course we could always use more so pray for work! We are so blessed to have all we do. Not one day goes by that I do not praise the Lord for his mercy upon us! So now for the news on me! I have had "female" issues for a number of years now and they only presented there self once I had slowed nursing the babies and normal cycles of life to return but they are getting worse and worse! They do think i have some endometriosis and I was diagnosed with adenomyosis , which is an enlarged uteus . It is very painful and pulls at my ligaments causing sciatica and back pain. My cycles are horrible! when I have them..lol they are few but only because i normally get pregnant and so only have a few. But where we come to the danger part is , if the uterus is enlarged do to cancer. and well im not willing to wait and find out! I figure if God was so gracious to give me these eight wonderful children then I have a peace about taking care of my self to continue to care for them! So Dr. Ryan recommends that I have a hysterectomy , but leave my ovaries. Im really ok with this. Im sure I will deal with the sadness of never having a baby in my arms again or nursing and looking down at those sweet blue eyes .... ohhhh my heart ache's but I do not want to hurt any more... Its so hard to be JOYFUL to 8 children when daily in some sort of pain. I know already some do not agree with our choice but I have learned.... You never do anything in life that everyone agrees on.. So guess what... We are ok with that! ;o) Its just a part of life. But im so grateful to wonderful friends that love and care for my well being. I will be scheduling my surgery at the end of the month... PRAY FOR JOHN I will be on bed rest for at least 2 weeks and well I better get some tie down straps out of the shop and hook them to the bed!!!! No way on God's green earth am I able to stay not doing anything for that long let alone an hour.... so PRAY FOR ME TO BE STILL. I want to be healed and ready to go!.. So call me... PLEASE Thanks in advance for the prayer of my safety! and Im so thankful that God is not done with me yet!!!

Well in Oklahoma it is HOT... we have had 100 degree days for weeks now and im sure ready for fall. My girls finished picking in the garden and then we let the boys and girls cut it all down for the chickens to scratch through. John has been busy with our family business and Im so grateful that God has allowed us for him to work from the home. And i thought it would be fun to post each of the kiddos pictures and ages for my new readers... So a little back ground info. John and I have 8 children under the age of 8. and yes I said 8. lol We are a happy busy "little" family with a Big love for God. We hope that all that read this and meet us see God reflected in our life and how He sustains our every need! So here we are .

A blessed time with Friends and Family

July is proving to me my most busiest month of the year almost compared to November and December. We have traveled to and fro allot and are having so much fun this summer! We went to the Elliot home for the weekend and had a blast and then we went to my mothers home for a day of swimming and egg rolls.. On Sunday evening we went to the Kraft family and had a singing social it was great! so here are a few random pictures and Hope August proves to be just as eventful! Blessings from our family to yours!

July

Whew, This month has been so busy. We have been to Stratford and Asher more this month then ever. We are so blessed to have friends like them. So for the 4th we went to Asher to the Elliot home and had a blast.

The Elliot family is so special to us for so many reasons, 1st that we feel connected because they two have adopted children and this gives my sweet girls some one they know that are adopted also. They do not feel as outcast. They are so much fun to be around. And a wonderful example of a great family life for John and I. Thanks !

Then we went to the most wonderful Tea Party on the following weekend in honor of our dear sweet Grandma Kelley. The girls had a wonderful time and so did I.

Then the next day we went to the most wonderful wedding I think I have ever been to, it was so simple yet beautiful all the same. Kerzden and Jessia are
so sweet! I can't wait to hear where they went on there honey moon.

We also just went to a concert in Stratford on tuesday . The Bontrager family singers
So sweet and were so blessed by it.

Now on the home front , our late garden is starting to look like something.
I hope to be picking in the next couple of weeks. We are also ordering more chickens.

The Kids have lots of summer fun by staying wet!

This weekend we plan to home church again with the Asher/Stratford group and stay the weekend with the Elliots.... So much fun to be had im sure.

JUNE

Well from birthdays to playn in the sprinkler to working in the yard and just plain ol summer fun we have been busy. Nikki turned 8 and Ty turned 6. My children are growing so fast. We took the house off the market and our wheels are turning again with new plans and things to do. We hope to add more chickens to the Farm and maybe a Pig. We got to get a late garden in after all so we are so excited about this late summer bounty. God is so amazing at the things He teaches us all the time about what really is a prioity in life and what ain't. Like material things mostly... What really matters and the memories made are right here at home and playing with my children. And How they have loved getting to see the grandparents all the time. and that there Daddy is home most all the time. Our Van has been broke most of the month and we are glad to know what it needs and John will be fixing it soon.. The calendar is already booked for July and August is getting things on there to already... Well see ya'll round and if your not busy stop buy and see us and have some Ice tea!

Our newest additions on the Farm!

Well we are still trying to sell the house in hopes to move and we have people looking to buy ours but still waiting on them.. the kids are growing so fast and I get more teeth in a month then some parents get in a year seems like...lol We are having a blast still with daddy being home and getting to work with him and just be a family. We eat 3 meals a day together and pray , laugh and sing through out the day... life could be no better then this unless we were in heaven! being rich is totally over rated and being poor is so much simpler ..lol you only have so much, so nothing else can get in the way of family and fellowship... So we rejoice in the season of life with John at home and hope that the Lord continues to bless us so that we will always live this way. Nikki and Emma are schooling every day now and wow do they learn fast. It is so great to see them learning and enjoying it also (except for the number 2) Emma says its to hard to write! lol Hope to have more exciting news next month like were moving or something.... ;o) !

Well we have a great couple of days with family for the Easter holiday. My mother blessed my children with baskets and candy and toys and then Aunt tami also had treats for the children and then Grandma Janice had bubbles and the list goes on... So how blessed are we as a family. So whats going on with us.... Well a whole lot of maybes and hopes and dreams. We have settled on a offer with the property and now are trying to sell our home. We have started tomatoes in the house and are butchering chickens on Monday. We also are maybe going to plant some corn and mostly just work our tails off building a shed for all the stuff "junk" from the shop so that we can make the property look nice for selling and im working like a mad woman inside to make it look like we do not live here. Praise the Lord that with God all things are possible like selling the house!.lol

the kids and I have loved the weather out side lately.... Nice and warm... which equals kids out side and not to messy inside. Enjoy the pictures.
