ohh the weather outside is frightful but the fire was so delightful!

Well our yard looks like a war zone but we have our power back so what a blessing. It went out on sunday about 3am and we got it back Tuesday at 6pm so not to bad we are very thankful to have our wood stove and my oven is propane so i could still cook and we took our precautions and got about 10 gallons of water in jugs which we ran out this morning and so we used the rain water to cook and clean with. The kids thought I was silly putting all those pots on the picnic table but when they seen all the water I brought in they asked can we drink this stuff.... Yes you can.... Of course we didn't but i did have to cook with it and flush toilets ... . We did have a generator to run our freezer and fridge monday night and today so not too bad at all just camping at home. We have lots of trees down i mean lots..... so John will have allot of clean up to do. Court is Thursday and of course the DHS worker heard from Todd on Monday of course a week before court.... He just wanted to make sure it was still set for thursday... LOL So it looks like he will show up and ask for a jury trial which will add about 3 to 6 months to the process but he still will not get his rights the DA and social workers assure us... so we will just try to see it as a blessing and try to use the extra money they send us wisely like new appliances (washer and dryer , another dish washer and a new Fridge .) all of my appliances are at least 10-15 years old and with a family of 9 we deffinetly cause wear and tear. Of course we will also try to save what we can for a van. It is hard to know what to do so we just trust the Lord will provide. The kids are doing great just runny noses but it is that time of year again. I will update again Thursday afternoon with the Court update... Please pray for us.

Beth
